December 9th marks the 28th anniversary of Mumia's incarceration. He was arrested in the early morning hours of Dec. 9th 1981 for the shooting death of Police officer Daniel Faulkner at 13th and Locust in downtown Philadelphia.  Mumia was seriously wounded by a gunshot wound to his chest that night as well.
